The team at FCW was spectacular. They protected the home and kept the place clean and tidy throughout the project; once done it was super clean.The teams were courteous and knowledgeable. As they progressed through the project they kept us informed of timing, issues or good to know facts/discoveries.Cant say enough good things about their service and performance. Steve and Wilson and everyone at First Choice Waterproofing did an amazing job in our basement. They installed two sump pumps and a French drain all in one day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a certified dry basement.

Wow First Choice Waterproofing did an amazing job in our basement. our basement is large 219 feet. a crew of 5-6 came in with Willson as the foremen and completed the job in 3 days!!!! they jack hammered the entire perimeter of our foundation, added piping gravel and cemented over. added 3 large sub pumps, moved everything out of the way and bam! our basement has been bone dry! the cost was 30% less than the competition and the work was excellent. And we were offered financing for the job at zero interest ! thank you Willson and thank you First Choice, we can't tell you what a relief this is to no longer having water in our 60 year old basement!!!! highly recommend First Choice.

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents, who have lived in New Jersey for over 40 years. I no longer live there, as I reside in North Carolina. My parents were in need of basement waterproofing and I researched several companies for them and made a few appointments.Ultimately, we decided to go with First Choice Waterproofing. Because I could not physically be there for the appointment, I was able to FaceTime and be involved. I was able to ask all questions in regard to the project, and what responsibilities my parents were signing up for.Throughout the process, we were very satisfied with First Choice Waterproofing. The presentation, the materials, and the warranty were what sold us. The crew that came to the house and did the work were very respectful throughout the process, making sure that if my parents had any questions they were answered.It has been two months since the job was completed and they have had a few rainstorms since then. I am happy to report that my parents’ basement has remained dry, and there have been no issues with the high-quality sump pumps that were installed.I honestly don't understand how anybody could leave a negative review for this excellent company. I suppose some people have to have something to complain about all the time.I highly recommend First Choice Waterproofing!!

My initial contact with First Choice Waterproofing was a phone call.The voice on the other end of the phone was warm and friendly...that was a plus to me. From the start I was put at ease. When I hung up the phone I not only had an appointment with Steve I had confidence in the company. Steve arrived on time, greeted me with a smile and explained exactly what needed to be done and why? Of course, I didn't want my life in free fall by men with jack hammers, stones, pipes and cement, but I didn't want water in my home either. I signed a contract, gave a deposit and had a starting date. A crew of 4/5 men arrived, got right to work and 2 days later they were gone. It's crazy to say...but besides the noise of the jackhammer I didn't even know they were there. All went about their job...quickly and quietly. AND, if I had a question all were answered with a smile. On top of being one of the most professional companies I have ever worked with...they cleaned up afterwards. Besides the evidence of the work that was done the crew left my rooms clean and orderly. The next step...the electrician...again without a problem. The final step...putting the walls and floor back. A few days later Chris, the carpenter arrived...again met with a smile and more information. A major concern of mine was saving my vinyl floor...it was only a year old. Obviously, I didn't want the added expense of replacing it, Chris assured me the floor could be saved...whew! Although it was not part of the job, Chris could sense I was not anxious to repaint the new sheet rocked walls. He offered, at no additional cost, to do it. All I had to do was supply the paint. Eureka!!! Chris didn't have to, but he also helped me put all my furniture back where it belonged. This was not an easy task as the furniture included a couch, chairs, tables, 60" plasma and stand, a dresser, a bed and all the little things rooms have. Of course I had a major cleaning job ahead of me, but the rooms were back in order. That evening, the owner of the company, Steve...which by the way was there every step of the way...came for a final inspection and his words, "If you need anything do not hesitate to call." Well a month later I called with a concern...Steve was at my home within a few hours...and it was at night. I cannot say enough positive things about First Choice Waterproofing. If you put your trust in this company you will not be disappointed.

We had an excellent experience from beginning conversations with Steve, to completion of the basement waterproofing system! My husband and I are very pleased with the outcome! The foreman, Wilson, and his crew were hard working and certainly their team effort was evident. Wilson was thorough with his work and communication. He initiated conversation and frequently asked if he could answer any of our questions. The crew went above and beyond to disassemble a wooden train table and remove it. Upon completion of the work, Wilson did a summarizing walk through with us and set up 2 dehumidifiers to drain right into the pits. The work area was left clean, both inside and out. I am smiling knowing the worrisome years of a wet basement are behind me. Thank you First Choice Waterproofing!

If there were more than five stars to give this company for its service, I would give it to them. I cannot speak highly enough of the two (2) Steve’s’. I had done some research beforehand but was grateful for their expertise. From the first time I reached out, Steve answered immediately and from there on out was very responsive. from the first call to the office to the many conversations with Steve Crowe I was impressed with the professionalism and service. he never rushed me, took the time to explain everything, brought up excellent points that I hadn't thought of, answered all of my questions, and helped me understand all of our options. in the end, Steve advised that we really needed to get the town to fix some drainage issues. ours would have been a very big job, I really appreciate his honesty especially after all the time he put in.

From first contact to the end of the job (and beyond), this was the best personal and professional interaction I've had in decades. Everyone involved was business-like, informative, capable and focused on me having the best possible service. Job definition, timeliness, attitude, and follow-up like I have not seen in recent memory. Straight-forward, honest, informative, and dedicated. Steve Crow as inspector, assessed our situation, and he was then followed by everyone in the chain from the excavators, led by Wilson, to Henry, the electrician subcontracted to finish up, I couldn't be more satisfied. I've waited through two downpours before posting this review and haven't waded through any water -- the basement is dry as a bone.First Choice planned the French drain system carefully and accomplished the work in one day. Mine was an old finished basement with built-ins and tight spaces. Two companies required extensive demolition. Steve was reassuring that the work could be done without it and he delivered on his promise.Wilson is a true problem solver and engineered the discharge perfectly. He worked skillfully with a crew of six, needing only an even cut along the bottom of the wall. They opened the concrete floor without causing a spiderweb of cracks. The resurfacing over the drain laid in a bed of washed stone is smooth and flawless. The extensive clean-up was thorough and complete.I had a lot of approach avoidance about this and was a skittish customer. First Choice performed superbly.

We got estimates from a couple of companies & FIrst Choice Waterproofing was by far the best, both in cost and warranty. (You can't beat a lifetime warranty that passes on to the new homeowner if we sell).Steve Crow was the first person we met. He explained the whole process very clearly & answered all of our questions. He was knowledgable, super nice, & very compassionate. He worked with us on scheduling to get the job quickly within our schedule.The work crew, led by Wilson, was great! Wilson kept us updated throughout the installation. They did a great job too. They were efficient and cleaned up everything behind them. Since installation, we had two hurricanes and the pumps did their job. We can't thank First Choice enough and we very highly recommend them!

Steve came to my house to evaluate a small water issue in my boiler room. He immediately assessed the problem as minor and said hat his firm doesn't perform that type of service. He then spent time showing me exactly what needed to be done to mitigate the problem. I appreciated his honesty and would recommend that Steve be called by anyone in need of his services.

After noticing water on my basement walls I started calling around to various waterproofing companies. I then came across First Choice Waterproofing. We set up a meeting and Steve came out and explained the entire process for their waterproofing system and exactly how everything would work. After our meeting we signed right then and there. We scheduled them to come about a week later. When the work commenced it was a streamlined process. They were clean, efficient and fast. In just two short days the process was done and the basement looked great. The best thing of all is we now know that our basement water issues are no more.

After speaking to many professionals, I accidentally stumbled onto First Choice Waterproofing. Steve #1 (there are 2) came over and surveyed my situation. His presentation and explanation made it clear that I needed a French drain in my basement’s very small crawlspace. His crew was on time, neat and focused on their task. Wilson, lead crewmember, even detected a small gas leak which was quickly fixed. I am grateful! These guys are some of the hardest working I’ve seen in a very long time. They took pride in their work. I was apprised of what they were doing each step of the way. I hired First Choice Waterproofing to put in a full French drain system in a finished basement. The team moved everything to the center of the basement and covered with tarp to keep things from getting dusty. All walls had to have flood cuts made up two feet on the Sheetrock and some vinyl flooring had to be removed. The team did such a professional job making it easy to refinish the basement after they left. In addition they spent a good amount of time cleaning up after themselves to the point where it looked as if they were never there in the first place. I highly recommend First Choice Waterproofing.
