Basement Waterproofing System Installed
We had an excellent experience from beginning conversations with Steve, to completion of the basement waterproofing system! My husband and I are very pleased with the outcome! The foreman, Wilson, and his crew were hard working and certainly their team effort was evident. Wilson was thorough with his work and communication. He initiated conversation and frequently asked if he could answer any of our questions. The crew went above and beyond to disassemble a wooden train table and remove it. Upon completion of the work, Wilson did a summarizing walk through with us and set up 2 dehumidifiers to drain right into the pits. The work area was left clean, both inside and out. I am smiling knowing the worrisome years of a wet basement are behind me. Thank you First Choice Waterproofing!

Waterproofing System
If there were more than five stars to give this company for its service, I would give it to them. I cannot speak highly enough of the two (2) Steve's'. I had done some research beforehand but was grateful for their expertise. From the first time I reached out, Steve answered immediately and from there on out was very responsive. Steve explained everything in a way that was easy even for a novice to understand and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Their professionalism, knowledge, honesty, integrity, and hard work ethics are very much appreciated and respected. I will recommend them to any homeowner who is looking for great service and response time.

Helpful Company
from the first call to the office to the many conversations with Steve Crowe I was impressed with the professionalism and service. he never rushed me, took the time to explain everything, brought up excellent points that I hadn't thought of, answered all of my questions, and helped me understand all of our options. in the end, Steve advised that we really needed to get the town to fix some drainage issues. ours would have been a very big job, I really appreciate his honesty especially after all the time he put in.

Waterproofing System Installation
From first contact to the end of the job (and beyond), this was the best personal and professional interaction I've had in decades. Everyone involved was business-like, informative, capable and focused on me having the best possible service. Job definition, timeliness, attitude, and follow-up like I have not seen in recent memory. Straight-forward, honest, informative, and dedicated. Steve Crow as inspector, assessed our situation, and he was then followed by everyone in the chain from the excavators, led by Wilson, to Henry, the electrician subcontracted to finish up, I couldn't be more satisfied. This is very rare today. They would be my first call in the future.

Waterproofed Basement
I've waited through two downpours before posting this review and haven't waded through any water -- the basement is dry as a bone.
First Choice planned the French drain system carefully and accomplished the work in one day. Mine was an old finished basement with built-ins and tight spaces. Two companies required extensive demolition. Steve was reassuring that the work could be done without it and he delivered on his promise.
Wilson is a true problem solver and engineered the discharge perfectly. He worked skillfully with a crew of six, needing only an even cut along the bottom of the wall. They opened the concrete floor without causing a spiderweb of cracks. The resurfacing over the drain laid in a bed of washed stone is smooth and flawless. The extensive clean-up was thorough and complete.
I had a lot of approach avoidance about this and was a skittish customer. First Choice performed superbly.

Basement Water Solution
Excellent service, both installation & customer service. Great company to work & deal with!
After a first time flood in our basement, we needed a solution to make sure it NEVER happened again. We got estimates from a couple of companies & FIrst Choice Waterproofing was by far the best, both in cost and warranty. (You can't beat a lifetime warranty that passes on to the new homeowner if we sell).
Steve Crow was the first person we met. He explained the whole process very clearly & answered all of our questions. He was knowledgable, super nice, & very compassionate. He worked with us on scheduling to get the job quickly within our schedule.
The work crew, led by Wilson, was great! Wilson kept us updated throughout the installation. They did a great job too. They were efficient and cleaned up everything behind them. Since installation, we had two hurricanes and the pumps did their job. We can't thank First Choice enough and we very highly recommend them!

Steve came to my house to evaluate a small water issue in my boiler room. He immediately assessed the problem as minor and said hat his firm doesn't perform that type of service. He then spent time showing me exactly what needed to be done to mitigate the problem. I appreciated his honesty and would recommend that Steve be called by anyone in need of his services.

Foundation Repair
Steve and his crew were very professional and up front with everything. They were on time and reliable. I had a question on the Labor Day holiday and Steve answered my call and question even though it was a Holiday. They explained the process to us from start to finish and were happy help us understand the work they were going to do. There was no residual mess, the cleanup was great. I'd recommend these guys for sure.

My water proofing the basement project went very well. I had 200 linear feet of work done and it's a world of difference as the basement feels dry, love the clean walls and their special patterned produce. Sump Pump Install in Hawthorne, NJ
I'm writing this 3 weeks after the work has been completed so I cannot provide a long term review. However, I can notice a significant change in the smell downstairs (it smelled musty and mold was found prior to this project) and it almost "feels" completely dry when I go into my basement now. I struggled with moisture and a very slow seeping of water into the basement. Just enough for mold to grow but not enough to noticeably wet the carpet. I was tired of trying to figure out how, why and when this moisture was getting in. Their guarantee of no water to be found in the basement or they will come back was enough for me to make this improvement. The fact it increases the value of the home was a factor in my decision. Wilson was professional and gave me lots of information as to what they were doing and why. The Electricians came back to address a buzzing noise and found the issues. Steve, the owner, stopped by to check in on things. This is not a cheap improvement, but considering that mold is extremely dangerous to one's health. It was worth it. Of course, I wish I did this sooner. I'd recommend First Choice for sure.

First Choice Water Proofing removed my old French drain and replaced it with their new drainage system. With all of this snow and rain my old system would have been continually running and at some point been overwhelmed. In contrast my new system is working just fine and my basement is completely dry. When the pumps do run you can barely hear them unless you are standing right next to it..... Steve was friendly, professional, and courteous through out the entire process. I would definitely recommend First Choice to others..

Came right on time, finished in 1 day. Clean up was fabulous. cleaned things that were dirty before they even got to my house. The crew only stopped working long enough to eat lunch. I had the basement waterproofing done about a month ago, waited this long to write a review because I wanted to make sure it was going to work. we have had lots of rain and a few very hard downpours and my basement is still dry. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants the job done right the first time around

Unlike the other pros that came to provide an estimate, they gave a full demo detailing the work they were going to do, and the materials they were going to use. They also provide a guarantee that for the lifetime of your home (which is transferable to the next owner should you sell your house). I plan to finish my basement with peace of mind.
